Are you currently selling your syrup? What market options are there for you in your community?

Most of our syrup is sold strictly word of mouth. My wife has her own business in town, and she sells it from her shop. We keep a waiting list for those who want syrup next season, and when we begin producing she calls those folks up and they come in and pick it up. We sell out every year, but only produce a small amount. We did sell syrup to a local distillery this year, for inclusion on their menu. ( They have a cafe’ on site) We need to increase production next year, to meet increasing demand.

We will be a vender tomorrow (Saturday, April 27) at the Taylor County Lions Club Maple Fest. We have attended this event for several years now, and it is one of the best organized Craft Sales that we attend. This event is held in Medford, Wisconsin.

They start out with a great pancake breakfast, and the meal line winds its way thru a fine museum of early industry from the area. Highly recommended!
